This is just speculation as a fan and maybe just maybe as a possibility that he could break Barry Bond's homerun record. With the rate he is going I think he has a good chance of doing it considering he is already at 12 and April isnt even over yet and I am thinking that if he has 30 or more by early June that he has a chance to do it. Pujols could also maybe change the game to and I think he would change the steroid era and prove to players that you dont need steroids to hit the long ball. This would be amazing but just the way he swung the bat from the last game.. I think this is possible.

For the last 5 years of his professional career he had 201 homers... comparing to Bonds first 5 years at 117 homers. I even think Pujols is more likely to break the all time record!! If he stay alive and healthy along the way.. Goodness gracious!

Pujols will finish his career with about 800+ homeruns if you know anything about sabermetrics. I dont think he is likey to break any single season records because no pitchers will pitch to him if he gets that hot.

Well wait.. does anyone know what exactly is performance enhancers? Are they like testo booster? Because if any of the player used performance enhancers is more likely to get suspended too.

Pujols just hit his 13th homer of the season. This ties an MLB record, set by Ken Griffey Jr. & Luis Gonzalez, for most home runs in April.

*In 1997 when Ken Griffey Jr. hit 13 in April he went on to hit 56 homeruns by the end of the year.

In 2001 when Luis Gonzalez hit 13 in April he went on to hit 57 homeruns by the end of the year.

WOW what if PUJOLs gets away with the HR, RBI, R categories and batting around .340 for Quadruple Crown after the season?

Well lets just wait for the rest of the league to come down.

Pujols became the fastest player to reach 19th homer in 37th game than any other player in MLB history..

MLB.com - Meanwhile, Pujols hit three home runs to push his Major League-leading total to 19 for the season. He also had 10 RBIs, pushing his Major League-leading total to 48, scored eight runs and hit two doubles. His average for the week was .429 (9-21).

The ongoing home run barrage from Pujols helped the Cardinals take over first place in the NL Central. His 19th homer came in the Cardinals' 37th game of the season. Pujols reached the mark three games faster than any other player in Major League history. It also came on the first day the Cardinals took over sole possession of first place in the division, which mattered much more to Pujols than his record home run pace.

"Who cares? We got the win," Pujols said when asked about the feat. "That's what matters. I did it tonight, and that's great, but at the end, I don't play for records. I play to get some wins and help my team out to win, and that's what I did tonight."

Pujols leads the league in an astounding array of categories. The four-time All-Star leads the Majors in runs scored (39), total bases (105), extra-base hits (25) and slugging percentage (.833), along with the home runs and RBIs.

Pujols homers 3 over the weekend and that gave him a total of 22 in 44 games. Remember Bonds had 23 in 44 games in 2001 which led him to 73 homers that season. Is he really chasing 73?
