Long term or short term?

Which one's healthier?

Long term relationships seem to be the answer, but in the end if it doesnt work out, you feel like it was all a waste of time. As for short term relationships, these seem to be popular in high school and such, and people seem to be more comfortable with "widening their horizons" by dating a lotta different kinds of people and maintaining a 2-3 month long relationship. What's your forte?

yeah me too. My longest relationship was a year and 4 months, and the guy i dated was one of my best friends before we went out, and he still continues to be. He knows me more than anybody else, its pretty crazay.

The longest one I had was 3 yrs... because 'her' papa found out about our relationship so he ended it. Typical desi with class.

that part pretty much sucks the most. That musta been rough, or did you see it coming?

I vowed to let my mom know if i ever found a guy even slightly interesting. Eventhough she hates the idea of it, i'd rather be honest than secretive. That adds to the stress level like no other.

hmm...i think that long time relationship or short. it hurts if you get to know each other a lot and share everything and then it ends up going bad...and ends then it hurts cause you probably wanted this one to last a long time and it don't....so it doesn't matter the time...its how you have spent that time together

Ay I knew it was coming but I got alot of respect for her father. If I were him.. I would have done the same thing. Anyway I buried most of her stuffs so none of her stuffs will give me some kind of flashback. Thats how I overcome my depression.

Nautika- haha yeahh oh the pressures of desi society are a whole different story! That's true though :)

Musalman- that's a good point. I guess you can actually consider the word "relationship" something thats deeper than dating and something that a long term committment can be called.

cheese- Yeah they do :( But they're humbling experiences, but they kinna make dating other people hard too.
