How do your parents show you that they love you?

Mine basically tell me that i am a no good worthless human being who cant make decisions for herself and constantly need a leash around her.

I am not good enough. Never was never will be.

They think that by loving me this way they are "protecting" me.

their love will ultimately be the same thing that drives me away.

I dont know the whole back story to this...........but simply put....If you feel that way, You have to prove them wrong somehow

My parents aren't super affectionate, but they show it through their jokes and stuff. I really look forward to the times my dad jokingly hits me or messes up my hair or when my mom just says I love you before walkin out the door. =]
